Authentication

Send your API key in the Authorization header. The Bearer prefix is optional.
A missing key returns 401, an invalid one 403.

Credits

Each lookup uses credits from your limit for the billing period. The cost varies by country. Check your balance with GET /v2/usage_stats. Usage and billing-period requests are free. X-Credit-Cost, X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining report the lookup’s cost, your limit and what’s left. The response body’s cost object has the same figures. Once you reach the limit, requests return 429 until the next billing period or a credit top-up.

Sync or webhook

/check_phone_number returns the answer directly by default. Pass webhook_url to get a 202 receipt instead and have the answer POSTed to you. See Webhooks.

Correlation ID

/check_phone_number responses include an X-Meer-Correlation-Id header. Quote it when you contact support.

Resellers

If you call the API on behalf of your own customers, it is REQUIRED that you send X-Forwarded-Host on every request, set to the end customer’s unique ID.
